Packaging uses a novel compostable laminate made from polylactic acid (PLA) derived from organic corn starch and cellulose acetate from FSC-certified wood pulp. This laminate achieves 12-month moisture barrier performance while decomposing completely in industrial composting facilities within 180 days. The resealable label uses pressure-sensitive adhesive derived from tree sap rather than synthetic acrylic. The outer carton is unbleached kraft paper printed with soy-based vegetable inks.
Production occurs in our GOTS-certified (Global Organic Textile Standard) facility with dedicated organic production lines that prevent cross-contamination with conventional products. Annual organic certification audits verify complete chain of custody from farm to finished product.
Bamboo Wet Tissue
Harvested bamboo is processed using the mechanical retting method-steam and physical crushing rather than the sodium hydroxide chemical pulping standard in the industry. This mechanical approach preserves more of the fiber's natural lignin content, giving the finished wipesubstrate a characteristic warm cream color and retaining bamboo's innate antimicrobial properties (bamboo kun). The resulting organic bamboo pulp is formed into 42gsm spunlace nonwoven using only water jet entanglement-no chemical binders, no synthetic crosslinkers.
The liquid phase uses 99.5% organic Roman chamomile hydrosol (Chamaemelum nobile) distilled from flowers grown on our partner farm in Bulgaria, certified under EU Council Regulation 834/2007.
